START WITH OUR PERFECT TEE SHIRT VIDEO SERIES!
Our Design & Sew Your Perfect Tee Shirt series is perfect at this level. We start with a custom-designed tee shirt pattern (which builds on our Sewing With Knits series from the "Ready To Level Up" skills) and create a made-just-for-you tee shirt pattern. Then, a series of videos walks you through making changes to that pattern, based on what YOU like most and want to wear! These skills translate directly to making small alterations on ANY pattern, and will serve you well as you take on new sewing challenges.
THEN LEARN TO INSTALL A FLY ZIPPER!
Next, try your hand at more complicated sewing techniques, which will allow you to fold more complicated garments into your wardrobe--including pants! A fly zipper is way less trouble to sew than it sounds, but following our video guide takes the anxiety out and makes it much more fun! This skill will open up a whole host of great patterns for you, and we include a list with links so you can apply your new skill.
