START WITH OUR EMERY DRESS SEWALONG!

The Emery Dress, a pattern from Christine Haynes, is a wonderful shape that is easy to wear--it's also a great showcase for fabrics & colors you love!  This pattern is slightly more complicated than the Get Up & Go Skirt, and includes making a lined bodice with bust and waist darts; installing an invisible zipper; cutting and sewing sleeves; and working with clipped curves for clean seams.  Work with cutting a pattern with more pieces, and choosing fabrics you love--then sew the whole garment with our step-by-step video sewalong.

THEN LEARN TO MAKE A MUSLIN FOR BETTER FITTING!

From there, work through our How To Make A Muslin video series.  A MUSLIN is a practice garment that allows you to sew a design & test the fit before cutting into your perfect fabric.  This video series covers how and why to make a muslin, what a "wearable" muslin is, and how to fine-tune the fit of a garment to determine what works best for YOUR body.
